Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking licensed dentists to perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) dental examinations for veterans at approved dental offices. This contract role requires maintaining an active dental license and reliable malpractice insurance, with a flexible schedule to fit 1–3 days per week.

You will review medical and dental records, complete DBQs, and coordinate with our credentialing team to ensure timely processing of claims, contributing to veterans' care and support.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree from CODA-accredited college/university (DDS or DMD).
• Licensed Dentist (DDS or DMD) as an independent contractor (1099).
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of practice.
• One year of dental experience or VA examination experience preferred.
• Design your own schedule (7 days a week; weekends encouraged).
• Availability of at least 3 to 7 days per month is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) Dental Examinations on Veterans.
• Perform Dental, TMJ and other assigned dental disability examinations.
• Complete Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) when requested.
• Review digital medical and dental records.
• Conduct comprehensive oral and dental evaluations based on disability claims.
• Review diagnostic imaging and supporting documentation when applicable.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required examination documentation.
• Submit information through a secure online portal for VA review as part of a compensation and pension claim.
• Examinations to be conducted at approved dental offices with proper equipment and internet access.
• Must be able to perform examinations 1 to 3 days per week.
• Work schedule flexible to accommodate current patient schedule.
