Job summary

Sentinel Health Services, a veteran-owned healthcare organization, seeks licensed dentists to perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) dental examinations as 1099 contractors. You must own a dental office with active license and malpractice insurance, and you will conduct exams at approved offices within a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, completing DBQs, and submitting documentation through a secure VA portal.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree CODA-academic requirement.
• Licensed Dentist (DDS or DMD) and 1099 Independent Contractor status.
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the practicing state.
• One year of dental experience or VA exam experience preferred.
• Design your own schedule (7 days a week; weekends encouraged).
• Availability of at least 3 to 7 days per month is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) Dental Examinations on Veterans.
• Perform Dental, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint), and other dental disability examinations.
• Complete Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) when requested.
• Review digital medical and dental records.
• Conduct comprehensive oral and dental evaluations based on specific disability claims.
• Review diagnostic imaging and supporting documentation as applicable.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required examination documentation.
• Submit information through a secure online portal for VA review as part of a compensation and pension claim.
• All examinations will take place at approved dental offices with proper equipment and internet access.
• Must be able to perform examinations a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week.
• Maintain a flexible schedule that aligns with your existing patient schedule.
