Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking a licensed dentist to perform VA Compensation and Pension dental examinations at approved dental offices. You must own a commercial dental office, carry an active DDS/DMD license, and maintain malpractice insurance.

This 1099 contractor role offers a flexible schedule and requires 2+ years of clinical experience. Examinations will occur at convenient locations within 50 miles of your practice, with some exceptions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree from CODA–accredited ADA program required.
• DDS or DMD license with active, unrestricted status.
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the practicing state.
• Minimum two years of clinical dental experience.
• Own a dental office at a commercial location (not home based).
• Independent contractor (1099) with flexible scheduling; 7 days a week availability encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) dental examinations for veterans.
• Conduct dental, TMJ, and other disability exams as assigned.
• Prepare Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) when requested.
• Review digital medical and dental records thoroughly.
• Perform comprehensive oral and dental evaluations for specific claims.
• Review imaging and supporting documentation where applicable.
• Complete DBQs and required examination documentation for VA review.
• Submit examination information through a secure online portal.
