Job summary

DirectShifts in Oregon seeks a licensed NP or PA to conduct VA Disability Benefits exams, focusing on General Medicine in accordance with VA guidelines. The role involves reviewing veterans’ records, performing comprehensive assessments, and completing DBQs with precise documentation.

You’ll work independently within established protocols, collaborate with clinical and admin teams, and ensure timely, compliant evaluations. Flexible scheduling and no on-call responsibilities available.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
