Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations in Oregon. You will review veterans' histories, perform comprehensive exams, and complete detailed DBQs, producing accurate medical reports in line with VA guidelines.

The role emphasizes independent work with strong documentation, collaboration with clinical teams, and adherence to HIPAA and state regulations. Flexible scheduling options are available.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
