Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Audiologist to conduct VA Compensation & Pension evaluations as a 1099 independent contractor. This non-treatment role focuses on evaluation, testing, and documentation with flexible scheduling and the option for in-person work in Hazard, KY.

You will perform VA C&P audiology assessments following VA guidelines, generate DBQs and reports, and maintain objective, unbiased findings within required timelines, while avoiding any treatment

Qualifications

• Active Audiologist license is required for the role.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills are essential.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols and perform objective testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans
• Perform structured hearing and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized audiology testing protocols
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Complete audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes
• Complete and submit documentation within required timeframes
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
