Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a UX Lead for our ServiceNow platform to set the design direction, build a scalable design system, and guide a growing team of designers and developers. You will own standards, drive adoption, and ensure consistency across UI Builder and Now Experience Framework.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong stakeholder management, research-driven decisions, accessibility, and a shift from ITSM to consumer-grade experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, CS, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years in UX and UI design with lead or player-coach experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow native UX capabilities including UI Builder and Now Experience Framework across workspaces, portals, and Employee Center.
• Hands-on front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven track record building and owning a design system adopted across multiple teams.
• Experience establishing and documenting UX/UI standards and driving adoption at scale.
• Hands-on user research experience, including usability testing and translating findings into design decisions.
• A portfolio showing consumer-grade enterprise experiences and the ability to move a platform beyond legacy patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own and document the UX and UI standards for the platform and drive adoption across teams.
• Build and own a design system and component library for consistency.
• Define design patterns, guidelines, and reusable components to raise the floor of every solution.
• Lead design reviews and enforce high standards for quality.
• Drive consumer-grade experiences beyond traditional ITSM mindsets.
• Measure adoption and use it to steer design decisions.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to solve real user problems.
• Build and mentor a team of UX designers and developers to elevate craft.
