Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a User Experience Designer to shape digital experiences for Ford owners. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, Analytics, and Design teams to translate customer needs into accessible interfaces and robust interactions.

You will drive design through the full lifecycle—from problem discovery and concepts to prototyping, validation, delivery, and post-launch improvements, while leveraging AI-assisted tools with judgment and brand alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UX, interaction design, product design, human-computer interaction, visual design, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in UX, product, interaction, or digital design.
• A portfolio demonstrating design process and contributions across problem framing, options, feedback, and solutions.
• Experience using a design and prototyping tool such as Figma.
• Working knowledge of usability and accessibility principles.
• Ability to communicate design ideas and collaborate across disciplines.
• An iterative approach to feedback, learning, and changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine Ford.com experiences to help Owners find vehicle information, understand features, access services, and stay connected.
• Translate customer problems and product requirements into user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces.
• Explore design options, communicate trade-offs, and incorporate feedback from customers and cross-functional partners.
• Create prototypes to test assumptions and support design decisions.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to balance customer value, business goals, accessibility, and technical feasibility.
• Use Ford’s design system to contribute to reusable patterns across Ford.com.
• Support design delivery and clarify design intent with engineering.
