North Carolina State University is seeking a part-time proctor to support NC State academic exams in Raleigh, NC. The role is temporary and time-limited, with a 20-29 hour weekly schedule and a standard 8:00 AM - 2:30/1:30 daily window.

Responsibilities

• Oversee temporary proctors on site to ensure processes are followed.
• Ensure exams are filed correctly and rosters are up to date.
• Scan and email exams to the instructor or contact person.
• Answer questions over the phone and in person.
• Escalate queries to a full-time proctor when needed.
• Assist in other areas as directed by management.
• Serve as intermittent replacement for a full-time proctor when needed.

Essential Job Duties

The primary purpose of this role includes but is not limited to: The Center is currently seeking a part-time employee to serve as a proctor for NC State academic exams. Proctors are responsible for ensuring exam integrity and providing superior customer service in a friendly, technology-enhanced environment. Individuals will be expected to be flexible both in hours and day-to-day operations.

Work Schedule

20-29 hours per week

Standard schedule: 8:00 AM - 2:30 Monday-Thursday, and 8:00 AM - 1:30 Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break each day

Minimum Experience/Education

• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using tablets and computers

Department Required Skills

• Oversee other temporary proctors while on site to ensure all processes are being followed
• Ensure all exams are filed correctly, double checking rosters and daily completed exams
• Scan and email exams to the appropriate instructor or contact person
• Answer fundamental questions over the phone and in person
• Know when a query needs to be escalated to a full-time proctor
• Assist in any other areas as determined by full-time proctors or upper management, as needed
• Able to serve as an intermittent replacement for a full-time proctor in any extenuating circumstances
