Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Division Manager to lead and grow our Heavy Civil Division across the United States.

This executive role oversees mass earthwork, site development, grading, drainage, erosion control, and related civil construction activities while building a high-performing team. Based in Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR, you will partner with executive leadership to drive safety, quality, and operational excellence, develop future leaders,

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience.
• Proven experience leading multiple crews and large-scale operations.
• Strong knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, drainage, erosion control, and production management.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Heavy Civil operations across multiple projects.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of field leaders.
• Oversee earthwork, site development, drainage, erosion control, and related activities.
• Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and equipment for project execution.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and executive leadership to ensure delivery.
• Drive consistency through planning, communication, and accountability.
• Develop future leaders through coaching and mentorship.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
