Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Division Manager to lead and grow our Heavy Civil Division.

This executive role drives safe, productive, and high-quality utility-scale civil construction across the United States from Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR, with ~25% travel. The position oversees planning, budgeting, manpower, equipment, and resource management while developing future leaders and strengthening customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience, including utility-scale projects.
• Proven experience leading multiple crews, superintendents, and large-scale operations.
• Strong knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, drainage, erosion control, and production management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Heavy Civil operations across multiple projects.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of field leaders.
• Lead earthwork, site development, stormwater infrastructure, and related operations.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors for project execution.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and executive leadership to ensure delivery.
• Drive planning, communication, accountability, and execution to improve productivity.
