Job summary

Barriere Construction is seeking a mid-level Utility Leadman to support piping projects, lead a crew under the Foreman, and ensure safe, efficient execution of pipe installation across water, sewer, and drainage systems.

The role requires at least 1 year of pipelaying experience in heavy civil construction and offers opportunities for progression, training, and participation in safety programs within a large infrastructure group.

Qualifications

• Pipelaying experience in heavy civil construction (1 year) required.
• Proficient in analysis and problem-solving.
• Able to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Written and oral communication skills; basic computer word processing and database proficiency.
• Two years of pipelaying experience preferred.
• Experience with B2W is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches to place pipe.
• Set up pipe laser.
• Lay water, sewer, and drainage pipe to line and grade.
• Cut, fit and seal various types of pipe.
• Lead crew in Foreman absence and assist TAR meetings.
• Ensure productivity and profitability goals are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe jobsite and follow safety protocols.
