Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction is seeking an experienced Lead Pipefitter to supervise field crews on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will coordinate daily tasks, interpret drawings and specs, and ensure safe, on-time installation of mechanical piping systems.

Ideal candidates offer 4+ years of piping experience, 2+ years as a foreman, and a proven ability to lead crews while maintaining stringent safety standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience installing mechanical piping systems, preferably in water/wastewater facilities or heavy civil projects.
• 2+ years of experience as a Foreman or Leadman.
• Experience coordinating process and mechanical piping installations, above-ground piping systems, pumps, valves, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure crews have equipment, materials, and information.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and project specs.
• Install and oversee mechanical and process piping installations (carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, copper).
• Verify pipe alignment, elevations, and grades.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Monitor crew productivity and maintain daily production goals.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Pipefitter to lead field crews on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for supervising daily pipe installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure crews have the necessary equipment, materials, and information.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and project specifications.
  
• Install and oversee installation of:
  • Mechanical piping systems
  • Process piping
  • Carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, and copper piping
  • Valves, pumps, fittings, and piping supports
    
• Verify pipe alignment, elevations, and grades.
  
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Monitor crew productivity and maintain daily production goals.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4years of experience installing mechanical piping systems, preferably on water/wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities, or heavy civil projects.
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Foreman or Leadman.
• Experience installing and coordinating:
  • Process piping
  • Mechanical piping
  • Above-ground piping systems
  • Pumps, valves, and mechanical equipment
    
• Valid Driver License
