Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks Utility Inspectors to support our Transportation division in the Asheville, NC area. You will assist current staff while helping grow construction management and CEI services statewide.

The role offers opportunities to build client relationships and contribute to major transportation projects. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with a solid understanding of construction safety principles and the ability to travel to project sites, including nights and weekends when

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in utility installation/inspection or construction inspection.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, traverse rough terrain, and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and work safely outdoors.
Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans.
Prepare daily inspection reports.
Perform measurement and documentation of completed work.
Read and interpret utility relocation plans.
Communicate effectively with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
Basic computer/tablet operation (iPad).
