Job summary

STV, Inc. in Greenville, NC seeks Utility Inspectors for our Transportation division to support our current staff and grow CEI practices statewide.

The role involves field inspections on highway projects, safety oversight, and strong communication with clients. Candidates should have at least 2 years of utility installation/inspection experience, hold a valid NC driver's license, be able to lift 50 pounds, and be willing to travel, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience with utility installation/inspection or construction inspection.

Responsibilities

Perform utility relocation verification activities in support of highway and bridge construction projects.
Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and work safely in an outdoor environment.
Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans.
Prepare daily inspection reports.
Measure and document completed work.
Read and interpret utility relocation plans.
Effectively communicate with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of computer and tablet (iPad) operation.
