Job summary
STV is seeking Utility Inspectors in Winston-Salem, NC to support our Transportation division and help grow the Construction Management and CEI practice across the state. This role offers opportunities to work on major projects while upholding STV's culture of balance and safety.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of utility installation/inspection experience, is an excellent communicator, physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, and willing to travel, including nights and weekends when
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience with utility installation/inspection.
- Must read and interpret utility relocation plans.
- Ability to work outside in all weather and lift 50 pounds.
- Must hold a valid state drivers license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Perform utility relocation verification for highway and bridge projects.
- Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans.
- Prepare daily inspection reports.
- Measure and document completed work.
- Read and interpret utility relocation plans.
- Communicate effectively with project staff and clients.
- Operate computer/tablet (iPad).
