Job summary

STV in Raleigh, NC is hiring Utility Inspectors to support our Transportation division and help grow our Construction Management and CEI practice statewide. The role offers opportunities to work on major transportation projects, mentor junior staff, and maintain a culture of safety and work-life balance.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of utility inspection experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of utility installation/inspection experience.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Apply safety philosophy to all task requirements and work safely outdoors.
Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans and schedule.
Prepare daily inspection reports.
Perform measurements and document completed work.
Read and interpret utility relocation plans and roadway plans.
Track field changes via redlined plans.
Communicate effectively with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
Operate basic computer/tablet equipment (e.g., iPad).
