Job summary

STV, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking Utility Inspectors for our Transportation division. You will support current staff, grow the Construction Management and CEI practice statewide, and help deliver major transportation projects while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires safety awareness, strong communication, and a solid understanding of construction safety principles. Periodic travel to project sites is expected, with nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with utility installation/inspection or construction inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform utility relocation verification activities for highway and bridge projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Measure and document completed work.
• Read and interpret utility relocation plans.
• Communicate with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
• Operate basic computer/tablet tools (iPad).
