Job Summary

The pay rate for this position is $23.00. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in all buildings or worksites serviced by FlagShip Facility Services, Inc., ensuring optimal level of cleanliness while following all safety and company procedures.

Essential Functions

• Floor work and carpet care duties, including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping.
• Review assignments with the supervisor and gather necessary equipment and products.
• Wear safety belts and comply with all safety rules; use wet floor signs when required.
• Inform the lead person of completed assignments and any issues that prevent completion or result in substandard work.
• Record time worked and products used.
• Maintain company vehicles in safe, neat conditions.
• Attend periodic training and safety meetings; follow directions and work area maps.
• Maintain a neat appearance with a clean uniform.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic floor care duties and operation of floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers, buffers, shampoo machines, extractors, wet vacuums, carpet pile lifters, and vacuums.
• Knowledge of proper use of floor care products.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and perform work per instructions.

Work Environment

Small-to-large office environment, fast-paced, moderate noise level. Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise. Combination of normal office and shop environments.

Physical Demands

The job requires repetitive movements such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and talking or hearing. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods; occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
