Job Summary

Basic job requirements, duties, and responsibilities to keep any building neat and clean at all times. Staff will maintain optimum cleanliness for every building or worksite serviced by FlagShip Facility Services, Inc. Pay rate: $27.31 per hour.

Essential Functions

• Floor work and carpet care duties including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping.
• Review assignment(s) with supervisor.
• Gather necessary equipment and products.
• Wear safety belts while performing each assignment.
• Inform lead person of completed assignment(s).
• Record time worked and products used.
• Use wet floor signs at all times.
• Report problems or situations preventing completion of an assignment or causing substandard results.
• Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations without exception.
• Maintain company vehicles in safe, neat, orderly condition.
• Perform any other related duty as directed by president, vice president of operations, or operations manager.
• Maintain a neat appearance and clean, neatly worn uniform at all times.
• Attend periodic training and safety meetings.
• Follow directions and building maps to locate work areas.
• Be punctual.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic floor care duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment such as automatic scrubber, buffer, shampoo machine, extractor, wet vacuum, carpet pile lifter, and vacuum.
• Knowledge of proper use and application of floor care products.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

Small-to-large office environment. Fast‑paced work environment. Moderate noise level. Exposure to normal office and shop environments, dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.

Physical Demands

• Occasional repetitive movements: stand, walk, sit, handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
• Occasional lift or move up to 40 pounds of equipment or trash safely.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, focus adjustment.
