Job summary

Emerson is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Utility Sales Specialist to join our North American sales team. The role focuses on Greenlee & RIDGID tools, targeting large utilities in the Texas region (Dallas, Houston, Austin) with travel up to 50%.

You will report to the Regional Sales Manager for the South Region and coordinate with ProTools Territory Managers to drive strategic product sales. You will demonstrate solutions, train distributors and end users, and own annual business planning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of related sales, marketing, or electrical field experience in utilities.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Direct and grow utility market sales through direct customer contact and coordination with local ProTools Territory Managers.
• Lead a matrix-managed team by coaching regional Territory Managers.
• Perform field product demonstrations, training, and technical support for end-users and distributors.
• Drive new product sales and expand markets and share.
• Develop and execute annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growth.
• Manage monthly and annual sales forecasts.
• Build and own relationships with key distributors and end users.
• Be the product, application, and pricing expert for your market.
• Support regional and national programs through training and special projects.
