Job summary

Emerson's North American sales team seeks a highly motivated Utility Sales Specialist to promote Greenlee & RIDGID brands to large utilities. The ideal candidate resides in the Birmingham, AL area and reports to the Regional Sales Manager for the South Region.

You will lead direct sales efforts, demonstrate products, and coordinate with local Territory Managers to grow share. This role requires travel up to 50% and strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related Sales, Marketing, or Electrical field experience in utilities.
• Strong communication skills in a matrix environment.
• Proven sales target achievement in Electrical Utility markets.
• Experience with distribution channels in electrical, industrial, plumbing tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct and grow utility market sales through customer contact and coordination with Territory Managers.
• Provide coaching and direction in a matrix-managed environment.
• Perform field product demonstrations, training, and technical support.
• Drive new product sales and expand markets and share.
• Develop and present annual business plans and forecasts.
• Manage monthly/yearly sales forecasts and relationships with distributors and end users.
• Be subject matter expert on product, applications, and pricing for the market.
• Support regional and national initiatives through training and projects.
