Job summary

HDR is seeking a Utility EIT/Coordinator in Houston, TX to support utility coordination, research, and field activities on civil projects. You will help identify utility conflicts and assist with design and plan production.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 2 years in Transportation/Roadway/Utility, and proficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD. Strong communication and reading plans are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture is a must.
• Two years of related experience in Transportation/Roadway/Utility.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD; knowledge of Bentley ORD/Open Roads.
• Strong communication, reading of civil/utility plans, and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Utility coordination between project team and utility owners.
• Conduct utility records research and prepare contact lists.
• Coordinate SUE investigations with HDR or subconsultants.
• Identify utility conflicts and facilitate resolution in design.
• Assist with utility design, plan production, and client deliverables.
• Field coordination with utility owners during relocations.
• Collaborate with project engineers and managers to meet client needs.
• Adhere to QA/QC guidelines for plans, specs, and estimates.
