Utility Coordination Engineer for Civil Projects

Job summary

HDR is seeking a Utility EIT/Coordinator to support civil projects across multiple locations in Texas and nearby states. You will assist with utility coordination, research, investigations, and plan production, and collaborate with the project team to mitigate conflicts and ensure quality deliverables.

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and an active interest in HDR's employee-owned culture. EIT certification is preferred or achievable within role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
• Two years of related experience in Transportation/Roadway/Utility industry preferred.
• EIT certificate is preferred or will be required for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Utility Coordination – assist with coordination between the project team and utility owners to identify and mitigate utility risk.
• Utility Research - perform utility records research and prepare utility contact lists.
• Utility Investigation - coordinate SUE investigations with HDR and subconsultants.
• Utility Conflict Resolution – identify conflicts and assist with resolution through design or relocation.
• Utility Design – assist engineers with design of wet/dry utilities for proposed improvements.
• Utility Plan Production - assist with utility-related client deliverables and exhibits.
• Utility Field Coordination – work during installation of utility relocations.
• Overall Project Team Coordination – collaborate with project engineers and managers to meet client needs and objectives.
• Overall Quality - adhere to QA/QC guidelines and review plans and estimates.
