Job summary

HDR is seeking a Utility EIT/Coordinator to support utility coordination, research, and design tasks on transportation projects. The role involves assisting with coordination between project teams and utility owners, conducting utility records research, and helping with SUE investigations and plan production.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; an EIT certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
  • EIT certificate preferred; without it, design coordinator role may be assignment.
  • Two years of related experience in Transportation/Roadway/Utility suggested.

Responsibilities

  • Utility Coordination – assist with coordination between project team and utility owners.
  • Utility Research - perform utility records research and prepare contact lists.
  • Utility Investigation - coordinate SUE investigations by HDR or subconsultants.
  • Utility Conflict Resolution – identify conflicts and assist from design to relocation.
  • Utility Design – assist with design of wet/dry utilities.
  • Utility Plan Production - help prepare utility-related client deliverables and exhibits.
  • Utility Field Coordination – work with utility owners during relocations.
  • Overall Project Team Coordination - collaborate with project team to meet client needs.
  • QA/QC - adhere to QA/QC guidelines for plans, specs, estimates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
