Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical/Utility EIT/Coordinator to support civil projects in the Dallas area. You will assist with utility coordination, research, and investigations, and help prepare exhibits and plans for utility owners.

The role requires strong communication, plan reading skills, and collaboration with engineers and field teams. The position involves assisting with SUE investigations, coordinating with utility providers, and contributing to QA/QC processes across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.
• EIT preferred; non-EIT may be placed into Design Coordinator track for career progression.
• Two years of related experience in the Transportation/Roadway/Utility industry.
• Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering plans and utility drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD and GIS software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil3D).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate utility activities with the project team and utility owners and identify/address utility risks.
• Perform utility records research and prepare contact lists.
• Assist with SUE investigations and coordination of utility conflicts.
• Assist with design and production of utility-related plans and exhibits.
• Coordinate field coordination during utility relocations with construction teams.
• Contribute to QA/QC of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support the overall civil project team to meet client needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
