Job summary

Consor is seeking an Utility Engineer to manage utility coordination on large-scale transportation projects. You will identify conflicts, liaise with utility owners, and develop relocation solutions balancing cost and schedule impacts.

You will work with design teams, contractors, and utility providers to drive efficient coordination, mitigate risks, and keep timelines on track while supporting safe and compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Working experience with Utility Coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in MicroStation or ORD software.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• This job occasionally operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to weather and physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive utility conflict matrices and sequences.
• Partner with design engineers to minimize utility conflicts and revisions.
• Draft, coordinate, and manage utility agreements between utility owners and client partners.
• Maintain detailed utility correspondence logs and track due dates and responses.
• Monitor project tracking charts to keep relocations on schedule and inform stakeholders.
• Identify potential utility risks and recommend mitigation strategies to protect schedules and budgets.
