Job summary

SYNC Residential is seeking a Utility Billing Coordinator to ensure the integrity of our utility billing systems and processes at our corporate office in Houston. You will manage submetering, RUBS allocations, and billing reports, acting as a liaison with residents, utility providers, and vendors to resolve issues.

The role requires at least two years in multifamily property management, strong Excel and Office skills, and excellent analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of multifamily property management experience.
• Prior corporate reporting and billing reconciliation experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License with state minimum insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the billing and recovery of resident utilities.
• Tracks and maintains submeter health reports and RUBS allocation methodologies.
• Ensures proper reimbursement levels through audits and account setup verification.
• Reviews utility billing reports for accuracy and improves billing metrics.
• Compiles and distributes utility billing reports, cost and usage analyses, and ad-hoc reports.
• Acts as liaison between on-site teams, residents, providers, and vendors.
• Provides billing support for resident billing concerns.
• Maintains documentation of utility billing processes and regulations.
• Monitors laws related to utility billing and analyzes financial impacts of changes.
• Obtains bids, work authorizations, and schedules submetering work and capital replacements.
