Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of utility billing policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to utility customers in person, by telephone and by email.
• Establishes and closes utility accounts and performs account maintenance.
• Processes and balances daily customer payment batches; prepares batch reconciliations, deposits, and reports.
• Reviews, calculates, and processes utility customers’ requests for high bill adjustments.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
