The role requires technical expertise in utility billing, strong knowledge of property management operations, and excellent communication to collaborate with the utility billing team and clients.

Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years' experience; GAAP knowledge and experience with YARDI/RealPage preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in utility billing operations.
• YARDI, Entrata, RealPage experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong understanding of real estate and property management.
• Experience with property management accounting software.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Google Suite.
• Ability to read, analyze, articulate and compile financial reports.
• Ability to work independently with escalation as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident utility billing cycles for all assigned properties.
• Assist with onboarding communities to Cardinal Group’s utility billing platform.
• Collaborate with third parties to ensure data is received and uploaded.
• Process monthly utility billing for assigned portfolio of communities.
• Monitor sites for missing utility invoices and retrieve documents.
• Respond to resident inquiries and provide support.
• Ensure billing methods comply with regulations and lease terms.
• Respond to inquiries from managers and HQ team members.
• Compile and maintain recovery analysis reports.
• Perform research and analysis to support recovery statistics.
• Explain complex billing scenarios to diverse audiences.
• Help establish SOPs, workflows, and training for the platform.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
