Metergy Solutions is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage tenant utility invoicing and related workflows in a fast-paced environment in New York. You will generate accurate bills for electric, water, thermal, and gas, and ensure timely processing and remittance with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of utility billing experience, specifically tenant billing (electric, water, thermal, gas).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, IF statements).
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in numbers.
• Proven time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Generate tenant utility bills accurately and on time (electric, water, thermal, gas).
• Maintain site accountability and ensure bills are released promptly.
• Review billing data for accuracy and compliance with site structures.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Identify process improvements to increase billing efficiency.
• Maintain billing records and documentation.
• Provide internal training on billing procedures and systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflows.
• Own billing cycles and deliverables with focus on accuracy.
