Job summary

The City of South Daytona is seeking a customer service and cashier associate to support the utility billing office. Under supervision, you will handle inquiries, process payments, open and close accounts, and maintain accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of teller or cashier experience, strong math and data entry skills, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of teller or cashier experience.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Ability to perform cashier duties accurately and maintain records.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the public.

Responsibilities

• Handles first response to customer inquiries and creates service orders.
• Explains policies and assists customers in person, by phone, and email.
• Receives payments, posts to accounts, and ensures cash receipts accuracy.
• Opens and closes accounts and performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Completes monthly/quarterly department projects and maintains records.
