Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Naheola Mill in Pennington, Alabama is seeking a Utilities Business Unit Leader to guide a 60+ person team across Recovery, Evaporators, Kiln, Power, and Water/Effluent Treatment. The role focuses on improving reliability and process excellence in one of Georgia-Pacific's largest facilities.

You will drive Operations Excellence, advance Asset Maintenance Work Process, and develop team capability through Principle Based Management and Guiding Principles to enhance safety,

Qualifications

• Experience leading a dynamic team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience advancing team capabilities through strategic leadership and tactical execution.
• Experience supporting operations within utilities, power generation, recovery, pulp, paper, chemical processing, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing a financial plan including both operational and maintenance expenditures.

Responsibilities

• Lead eight elements of Operations Excellence within the Utilities organization (Compliance, Health & Safety, Reliability, Production, Yield, Cost, Quality, and Capital Projects).
• Advance AMWP implementation with strong understanding of equipment criticality, planning and scheduling, and economic decision making.
• Develop and execute strategies using Principle Based Management and Guiding Principles to close performance gaps.
• Connect all levels of the team to ensure delivery of results in a disciplined operations framework.
