Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Toledo Containerboard Mill is seeking a Power and Utilities Area Operating Superintendent to lead the PBM-based Operations Excellence team, driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. This role reports to the Power and Recovery Area Leader and guides a large team to improve equipment reliability and meet EH&S, quality, and production goals.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in pulp and paper or biomass/power, engineering leadership experience, and a track record

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pulp and paper operations or biomass/power generation experience
• Experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Experience applying leadership principles to develop people and improve results
• Experience using data, measures, and economic thinking to identify gaps and make value-creating decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead PBM-based Operations Excellence to realize long-term value
• Translate vision into priorities, measures and expectations
• Model integrity, stewardship, and accountability in daily decisions
• Develop asset strategies to improve reliability
• Provide direction to ensure objectives in EHS, quality, reliability, production, and costs
• Plan and execute outages with long-term planning and risk reduction
• Mentor team to increase contribution to the business
• Collaborate with operations to cost-effectively plan and schedule work
