Job summary

Motorola Solutions (Silvus Technologies) seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. Travel up to 50%, with remote work options based on location, and close collaboration with the Applications Engineering team and business development stakeholders.

You will support demonstrations, field trials, and market research to shape the StreamCaster MANET portfolio, expanding interoperability across multi-domain environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/ECE or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of relevant experience OR HS diploma with 5+ years of defense/technical experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Ability to obtain Government SECRET clearance within 15 months.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting for test automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to radio solutions.
• Plan configurations and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering to validate architectures and benchmarking data.
• Support Business Development in identifying technical requirements and priorities.
• Develop demonstrations for low-signature, resilient tactical edge needs.
• Conduct market research for system integrations with partners and test end-to-end networks.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders across PEO-SOF Digital Applications / PEO-C4 and SOFWERX.
• Capture field feedback and translate needs into product roadmap inputs.
