Job summary

PowerToFly is seeking a User Assistance Technical Writer to support the SOLIDWORKS User Assistance team. You will learn modern technical writing, use SOLIDWORKS apps, and help create and manage content that helps users onboard quickly.

You will review and improve existing content while contributing to new materials. The role emphasizes visual content and may involve AI/LLM tools to boost efficiency and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Outstanding written communication skills demonstrated by writing samples and coursework
• Excellent spoken communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and explain technical material
• A high level of comfort with computers and software

Responsibilities

• Learn core principles and techniques of modern technical writing within a fast-paced global team
• Learn to use SOLIDWORKS apps and content creation tools
• Develop new content and incorporate content written by others
• Review and modify existing content to improve quality and impact
• Contribute to expanding visual content (images, animations, videos) in documentation
• Contribute to improving efficiency, including AI/LLM tools in workflows
• Offer fresh ideas for changing what we create and how we work
