Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a highly skilled SolidWorks Specialist to contribute to cutting-edge AI hardware projects. You will build and refine parametric CAD models, document design decisions, and ensure manufacturability across processes, all while collaborating with remote teams.

Ideal candidates have deep SolidWorks experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and the ability to translate engineering requirements into AI-ready CAD data, with emphasis on documentation and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks expertise with strong parametric CAD skills.
• Experience applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• DFM knowledge across injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting, forging.
• Mechanical design and assembly modeling proficiency.
• Proficiency in CAD workflow automation via Python, iLogic or VBA.

Responsibilities

• Create fully parametric 3D CAD models in SolidWorks from design requirements.
• Edit and update existing models while maintaining feature trees and design intent.
• Audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, manufacturability.
