Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced SolidWorks Specialist to contribute to an innovative project at the intersection of mechanical engineering and AI technology. You will create, review, and refine parametric CAD models and documentation for next-generation AI systems, working remotely as a contractor.

The role emphasizes strong CAD skills, DFM, GD&T, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. No AI background required; your SolidWorks expertise and attention to detail will drive

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on SolidWorks experience with parametric CAD modeling and GD&T.
• Ability to apply DFM principles across manufacturing processes.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create fully parametric 3D CAD models in SolidWorks based on design requirements.
• Edit and update existing CAD models while preserving feature trees and design intent.
• Review CAD models for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and manufacturability.
• Apply DFM across processes including injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, casting, and forging.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation for revisions and AI model training.
• Translate engineering requirements into structured CAD data for AI learning.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and provide reports and updates.
