Dassault Systemes in Waltham, MA seeks a User Assistance Technical Writer to support the SOLIDWORKS User Assistance team. You will learn modern technical writing, use SOLIDWORKS content tools, and help develop and integrate new content into our documents.
Ideal candidates have a science/engineering or writing-focused background, strong writing and speaking skills, and comfort with software. You will contribute to visual content and adopt AI/LLM tools to improve workflows and productivity.
This role is for a User Assistance Technical Writer to support the SOLIDWORKS User Assistance team. The team's mission is \"to design, develop, and continuously improve user assistance content that is thorough, accurate, engaging, easy-to-find, and relevant so that users can onboard quickly and do their work effectively.\" The team documents all SOLIDWORKS-branded CAD and related apps, including SOLIDWORKS Design, DraftSight, xDesign, and many others.

Good candidates for the technical writing profession typically major either in a science, computer science, or engineering field or in a writing-intensive field such as English or Communications. Or, increasingly, they are pursuing degrees that combine science/engineering and arts/humanities disciplines.

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $20 and $36 per hour.
