Job summary

Sonic Automotive is seeking a Used Car Buyer to prospect, appraise, and present offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles for resale.

The role involves calling and scheduling appointments, using CRM for lead generation, and coordinating with sales managers to build offers. A strong track record in telemarketing or sales and a valid driver's license are required. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in telemarketing, appointment setting, or sales roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong ability to engage with customers effectively, build rapport, and address their needs and concerns professionally.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone.
• Ability to handle rejection positively and persistently pursue leads, maintaining a positive attitude throughout.
• Comfortable using CRM software, productivity tools, and other technology platforms to manage leads and track progress.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
• Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
• Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
• Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
• Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
• Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
• Introduce guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
• Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
