Job summary

Stokes Honda North in Moncks Corner, SC seeks an experienced Used Car Manager to lead all aspects of our used vehicle operations. You will acquire, appraise, price, merchandise, and manage inventory to maximize sales, profitability, inventory turn, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong automotive retail experience, deep knowledge of market values, and the ability to lead a fast-paced dealership team in evaluating trades and forecasting demand.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to appraise, acquire, price, and merchandise used vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of used vehicle market values and auction processes.
• Experience managing inventory, aging, pricing, turn rate, and profitability.
• Understanding of automotive sales processes and dealership operations.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the used vehicle inventory from acquisition to sale, including pricing and merchandising.
• Appraise trade-ins and purchased vehicles using market data and vehicle condition.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market conditions and demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, days’ supply, turn rates, and gross profit.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Parts, and Detail to recondition and bring vehicles to market.
• Review inventory daily and advise on pricing adjustments and disposition.
