Job summary

J. Allen Toyota in Bay St. Louis, MS is seeking a Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to grow our pre-owned inventory by locating and acquiring quality vehicles from a variety of sources.

You will hunt for opportunities, build relationships with customers, and work with service and sales teams to ensure a seamless experience. This full-time role offers a $15/hour base plus uncapped commissions and significant earning potential.

Qualifications

• Enjoy talking with people and building relationships
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Automotive knowledge or sales experience preferred, but not required
• Self-motivated with a competitive mindset
• Ability to identify quality vehicles and understand market demand
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with service customers and identify opportunities to purchase or trade their vehicles
• Provide customers with complimentary vehicle history reports and market valuations
• Appraise vehicles and work with our management team to acquire quality inventory
• Search online marketplaces and other sources to find vehicles that fit our inventory needs
• Contact private sellers and create opportunities to purchase vehicles
• Utilize customer data and equity opportunities to identify potential acquisitions
• Partner with Service and Sales teams to create a seamless customer experience
• Maintain accurate records and follow up on acquisition opportunities
