Position Summary...
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will deliver more of what our members love, for less, and collaborate with other associates to meet the club's expectations.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency in Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and elevate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, new products, and training.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Manage returns, special orders, operating cash registers, and maintain inventory accuracy. Ensure packaging, labeling, and storage comply with policies. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing the member experience, modeling high-quality service, and inspiring others. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and assist in training team members.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance. Support Walmart's culture and accountability, and act humbly, honestly, and transparently.
- Serve our Customers and Members: Prioritize customer needs, make informed decisions, and consider the impact on the team and stakeholders.
