Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests; educate others on tools, tasks, resources; mentor new technicians; and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show familiarity with Point of Sale systems, phone, and in-person selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve service, and boost engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, products, and training. Encourage others to adopt new tools.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies; track returns and special orders; operate cash registers; process transactions; maintain inventory and safety standards; report safety hazards and product issues; complete documentation; assist members with purchasing; and ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing members' experience, modeling high-quality service, inspiring team members, and supporting a respectful, team-oriented environment.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and ethics; implement action plans; and utilize the Open Door Policy.
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and colleagues, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and learning from feedback and changes.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00, with potential additional premiums based on specific circumstances. The actual wage will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Successful completion of required training and assessments if selected.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the auto service industry or retail is preferred.
