Position Summary
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. Your goal is to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets the members' expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests; educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians; communicate effectively to provide safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show proficiency with Point of Sale systems, phones, and in-person selling techniques.
- Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan and drive sales, enhance the service experience, and boost associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety, products, and training. Adapt to new tools and encourage their use.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies; track returns and special orders; operate cash registers; process transactions; maintain inventory, safety, and compliance standards; report safety hazards and product issues; complete necessary documentation; assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve concerns.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote high-quality service and products, develop and inspire team members, and model respectful, supportive, and team-oriented behavior.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics; implement related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; execute business practices accordingly.
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and team members, prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and seeking continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Successful completion of required training and assessments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in auto service industry or retail
