Position Summary...
As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department. You will deliver more of what our members love, for less, working collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets members' expectations.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, and resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively to provide safe and efficient customer service.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Use Point of Sale systems and selling techniques effectively.
- Be a Techie: Utilize digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve service, and enhance associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety, and training.
- Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Manage returns, special orders, and operate cash registers. Maintain accurate inventory, safety standards, and report issues. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve concerns.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote high-quality service, develop and inspire others, and foster a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented environment. Understand and help overcome roadblocks, and contribute to a culture of belonging.
- Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, support Walmart values, and support a positive culture. Be accountable, humble, honest, fair, and transparent.
