Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tours stores and provides feedback, communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved successfully. Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties, while setting clear expectations and recognizing contributions. Coordinates and oversees activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and measuring progress. Ensures compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, supporting the company mission and values. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture of belonging. Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart's culture and goals. Delivers results by focusing on the customer, making data-driven decisions, and balancing priorities. Supports continuous improvement and encourages learning and adaptation. 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities that sell only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs, and experience supervising 5 or more direct reports with responsibilities including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
