Job description

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

  1. Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
  2. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  3. Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
  4. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following and exemplifying the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  5. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs and complaints are addressed successfully.
  6. Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and lead process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
  7. Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  8. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing contributions.
  9. Coordinate and oversee activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and measuring progress.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and support the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  11. Build high-performing teams, embrace diversity, foster a culture of belonging, and attract and retain top talent.
  12. Act with integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, and support Walmart's culture and sustainability goals.
  13. Deliver results by prioritizing customer needs, leveraging data insights, and balancing short and long-term goals.
  14. Encourage continuous learning, technological adoption, and resilience through change management.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus applicable differential and bonuses. Additional compensation may include regional pay zones based on location.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm sales, successful completion of background checks and training is required. Associates must complete all required training and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
