What you'll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Tour stores, provide feedback, communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develop and implement action plans to address deficiencies and lead process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drive the financial performance and sales of the store area by reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Set clear expectations, recognize associates, and promote a culture of belonging. Coordinate and oversee activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and measuring progress. Ensure compliance with company policies and support Walmart’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace where associates feel supported, connected, and able to thrive. Act with integrity, maintain high standards of ethics, and support Walmart’s culture and community initiatives. Deliver results by prioritizing customer needs, making data-driven decisions, and balancing short-term and long-term goals. Strive for continuous improvement by embracing new technologies, encouraging learning, and supporting change initiatives.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential where applicable. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and regional pay zones based on location.
Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience. For stores selling firearms, a successful criminal background check and firearms training are required. Additional trainings and assessments will be necessary.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, a Certificate in People and Business Leadership, or experience supervising five or more direct reports with performance management responsibilities.
