A leading company in retail is seeking a Store Manager for their Cañon City location. In this pivotal role, you will lead teams, ensure exceptional customer service, manage financial performance, and develop associates to meet business objectives. Candidates should have a background in retail management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, providing feedback, and communicating with all levels of staff regarding store operations. Utilizes technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction to introduce and lead change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate objectives effectively.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and supporting community outreach programs. Ensures customer needs and complaints are addressed, develops action plans to correct deficiencies, and leads process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
Drives financial performance by reviewing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops strategies to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management. Sets clear expectations, recognizes achievements, and recruits qualified staff to support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and promoting continuous learning and accountability.
Ensures compliance with company policies and promotes a culture of integrity and ethics by implementing related action plans and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Responsibilities include team leadership, customer service excellence, financial management, associate development, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Two years of college; or one year of retail and one year of supervisory experience; or two years of general work experience with one year of supervisory experience. Additional requirements include successful completion of job-specific training and assessments.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership, along with experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
